Forming in 2003 after Chisato, formerly of the all-female punk band THUG MURDER (TKO Records), and Kenta666, from the hardcore band REAL SHIT, started collaborating, the VICKERS quickly carved a name for themselves as one of Japan's fiercest rock n' roll acts. They released their first mini-album Stab Your Back, now out-of-print, which was quickly followed up with three brutal albums. The band caused a stir in Taiwan when they played the island's Formoz Festival, and later when they returned for the Anti-pop series. Recently, tiny terror Annie joined taking on bass duties and THE VICKERS sound louder and more striking than ever!

TRACK LIST:
PACIFICTION REVIEW:The most recent release by Tokyo's monster rock n' roll band shows they just keep getting tougher. Opening the album is "Uneasy Feeling," a rock n' roll tune about booze and inspiration. "Another Wasted Night" is a blunt acceptance of punk life style... "It's too late for wake up!" Chisato sings brightly about some optimistic future on "Days of Wine and Roses." Bold and anthemic, "Brand New State" calls for self-introspection. "All Messed Up" aggressively contends with the norms of society. With metal undertones, "Never Say ever" slightly leads the album into glam territory which is followed up in "Real Action." The final track, "Eternal Damnation" melds the darkness of metal with the hopelessness of punk. The VICKERS are sure to appeal to any punks who have an appreciation for heavy metal and go for poignant lyrics and speedy rock n roll. |
