This Taiwanese girl trio started making fast poppy street punk in 2003. Amidst a growing pop punk scene they stood out for their carefree rowdiness which got them noticed by Einstein Records Japanese girl band AKIAKANE's label. Consequently, Einstein released B.B. BOMB's first mini-album and also included them on their Samurai Spirits punk comp. Aside from touring Korea and China, B.B. BOMB also played alongside HOTPINK and MARY JANE'S FRIENDS at the Let's Girl! parties on Taiwan.

PACIFICTION REVIEW:This trio of spunky brats with street punk attitude make some of the loudest sounds on Taiwan. The fast tight punk ditties found on B.B. BOMB's Three mark one of the best releases by a Taiwanese girl band yet. "Let's Sing Along Together" starts with a soft rumble, initiates a hardcore attack and resolves itself in a poppy ending. Amidst a scene littered with fashion punks, "Hey Punk Rock Girl!" yells at all the SEX POT ReVeNGe teens to "wake up!" As an obvious tribute to their favorite Japanese band THUG MURDER, "Don't Go" echoes their sentiment at the band's break-up. "Just Say Oi!" is a Taiwan style street punk tune calling on their friends to unite. "Say Good Bye" brings us to the finish with a carefree pop punk vibe. Packed with enough punk fury and pop hooks, this EP is worth it for the amount of excitement it generates! |
