This Taiwanese girl trio started making fast poppy street punk in 2003. Amidst a growing pop punk scene they stood out for their carefree rowdiness which got them noticed by Einstein Records Japanese girl band AKIAKANE's label. Consequently, Einstein released B.B. BOMB's first mini-album and also included them on their Samurai Spirits punk comp. Aside from touring Korea and China, B.B. BOMB also played alongside HOTPINK and MARY JANE'S FRIENDS at the Let's Girl! parties on Taiwan.

PACIFICTION REVIEW:While B.B. BOMB is known as a fun, punchy Taiwanese girl band, their first CD release was in Japan on Einstein Records. This mini-album has a couple songs you won't find on their Three EP and the cover art that mimics early CLASH albums but with a picture of a guarded Presidential Palace in Taipei is a drunken curtsy to the punks of old. Fans of punk girls should not miss this band that counts AKIAKANE and THUG MURDER among their heroes. |
