TRACK LIST:
PACIFICTION REVIEW:The latest effort from Kev Lee's CONSIDER THE MEEK is a torrential downpour of edgy melodic punk and blunt lyrical assault as well as some surprising acoustic moments, eerie choruses, media samples and other ear-pleasing embellishments. With pounding drums and simple truths, the title track elevates listeners to a place where they can appreciate the rest of the album. The hardcore vibe on "The People's Introduction To Neo-Liberalism" helps to expose the hypocrisy of a liberalism that has sold out to moderate centralism. Approaching the engaging folk music of the 60's is "Paper Cranes," a memorial to victims of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. "Empowerment" contains a touch UK anarchist punk while "Economic Games" draws on indie stylings. Characterized by rolling drums, buzzing guitars and great background vocals, "Protest Song" attempts to ignore the politics. "Little Project" closes the album with a pop punk flare leaving listeners as much wiser as they are satisfied. |
