About the Band

LOVE CINEMA VOL. 6

Jersey trash punk by way of Takashi Miike, Love Cinema Vol. 6 formed in 2004 on a mission to save rock n' roll from radio doldrums, hair band revivals and emo-core-ism. When the initial members heard Chuck Nasty sing "like an angel in labor," they knew they found their front-man.. er transvestite?! LCV6 became an uncontrollable force of gore and shock that lead to being banned from bars, heralded by perverts and even turned away by honest web designers!

PACIFICTION REVIEW:

The Japanese intro to this rock vulgarity invokes their namesake, Takashi Miike's Visitor Q alternately named Love Cinema Vol. 6. If you can imagine such an incredibly bizarre, perverse yet provocative film could have a punk soundtrack, this would be it. Quirky trash punk, Bondage anthems, a keen version of Blondie's "Sunday Girl," as well as a G.G. Allin cover; all demons expelled by a lead singer that likes to dress in shimmy shimmy skirts make this album punk's answer to cock rock. Only something this wrong could have risen out of some bored dudes immersing themselves in Japanese shock cinema in an attempt to avoid the quagmire that is the north Jersey social scene.
