This band is a jolt of new wave inspired indie rock that has been electrifying unsuspecting audiences in Taiwan since 2006. Lead singer Mueko is a pint-sized neon blur behind her synthesizer set up while the rest of the band provides effects layered riffs and danceable grooves. Over the past couple years, THE SHINE & SHINE & SHINE & SHINE have introduced their unusual electro indie to large audiences at festivals like Formoz and Spring Scream. Their first mini-album which was released in 2006 sold out quick enough, and their latest EP is just as desirable.

PACIFICTION REVIEW:THE SHINE & SHINE & SHINE & SHINE make up part of a new scene in Taipei unafraid to break out of the typical indie band mold, often incorporating elements of electro, dance and pop to their music. On "四月物語," lead vocalist Mueko lends her cutesy charms to this floating yet danceable indie pop song. The second track, written and sung by the guitarist Dixon, has a more straightforward indie rock approach with guitar effects and a driving beat. Out of all the songs, "Cut My Hair" uses the most electro effects and dance beats giving it new wave club vibe.
