PACIFICTION REVIEW:

Following the pattern of the previous 2003-2005 生 3 DVD, this fourth installment offers a mixed bag of live house footage taken at punk hot spots around Tokyo. Melodic buzz bands like RAIN MAKER and MOD LUNG are interspersed with loud punk bands like NO PEOPLE and the oldies pop punk of THE CiSTEMS and THE WIMPY's. Girl bands like ELMOC and SPANDEX make worthwhile appearances and there's even some upbeat ska by THE PRACTICE and wild garage from THE FACEFUL. This DVD is great because it not only features some hot up-and-coming Japanese punk bands, but it also gives those uninitiated a rare and exclusive glimpse at inside the Tokyo scene.
