RETROGRESSIVE THREE CHORDS
Representing the Osaka street punk scene are RETROGRESSIVE THREE CHORDS. Their vintage style that harkens back to the sounds of THE CLASH and STIFF LITTLE FINGERS, caught the attention of the fledgling Modernedge Records who released their first mini-album and also put them on the bill with UK punks ONE MAN STAND. Up-and-coming among western Japan's punk scene, RETROGRESSIVE THREE CHORDS are a band to keep an eye on!

PACIFICTION REVIEW:
The debut mini-album from RETROGRESSIVE THREE CHORDS includes six tracks of street punk and hardcore lead by gritty vocals similar to Osaka Oi! peers like THE HAWKS. "Empty Can & Block House" is a fast-paced, boot stompin' intro that gets you ready for more! While much of the band's sound owes itself to THE EXPLOITED and GBH, moments of TSOL style 80's hardcore show up on tracks like "Chimney Sweeper." The album closes with "Master Brand" a plaintive punk rock song in Japanese about breaking free of the daily controls placed on us by society. R.3.C is a fresh sounding album amidst a punk scene that's been getting crusty in recent years.
