Invoking their namesake, ED WOODS draw on 50’s sci-fi and B movie hysteria for their trash rock ’n’ roll sound. Forming in 1995 amidst the Back from the Grave Tokyo garage scene, ED WOODS became notorious for their gore and horror filled live shows. More recently, the band joined the Japunks event in NYC at the legendary CBGB alongside notable US-based Japanese acts THE SPUNKS and PEELANDER-Z. ED WOODS remain a relentless, foaming, bloody stage attraction for any given gorehound.

TRACK LIST:
PACIFICTION REVIEW:In tribute to classic monster movies, Monster Trash opens with a sonic montage of sampled B movie trailers that gives way to screeching rock ’n’ roll guitar action. "Mutant-Z" is a look at teenage frustration through a sci-fi thriller scope: "I'm loser, I'm chicken, I'm Mutant-Z!" The wild, erotic screams on "Weird U.M.A." drags the sick listener into a frenzy of 50’s trash. "Big Foot Asshall" is an upright bass thumping punk-o-billy look at modern mythology. A horror pop feel, experimental sounds and catchy riffs make "Monster Planet" unbeliveably sound like the PIXIES covering the MISFITS. "The Midnight Bad Taste" is simply a dirty rock and funk song to remind you of the late night hard drinkin’ times. Trash rock it is, and it will surely leave you screamin’ "Monster Trash!" |
