About the Band

BEAT CARAVAN

Influenced by the likes of THE BYRDS and DYLAN, this trio has a more natural, mellower sound adding a brighter color to the Japanese garage, mod and RnR scene. Over the years BEAT CARAVAN has shared the stages with local Tokyo bands like SUPERSNAZZ, THE BUCKETEERS and THE RAYDIOS, and also hosted an event featuring Massachusetts pop rock group THE INCREDIBLE CASUALS in 2006.

PACIFICTION REVIEW:

BEAT CARAVAN represents the lighter side of the Japanese garage rock scene with more influence coming from melodic acts of the 60's and 70's like NRBQ, THE BYRDS and BOD DYLAN. The Jangly feelgood vibe on "Back To The Sweethearts" has a country vibe. Miho's bright vocals on "Stoney Days" help the uppity beat along. Through BEAT CARAVANS songs the listener discovers airy vocal harmonies, occasional bittersweet RnB sounds and slight country rock colorings giving their first mini-album a summertime feel that yearns to be heard.
