When the seminal Hamamatsu punk band DREX folded, the story didn't end there. TAKUMiX, alongside local mod revivalist TAKAO ISHIDA, formed a new group to keep the punk feeling alive. Their songs contain a definite showing of original British punk & mod influence vis-a-vis a search for their roots in Japanese punk sounds of the 80's. That being said, the attentive listener can glean hints of THE CLASH or THE JAM but, with a certain longing for the simplicity or familiarity of THE BLUE HEARTS, their native forebears. |
